Born and raised in New York and now living full time in Lake Tahoe, California, Cheri Sugal has traveled extensively to some of the most far away places on earth interacting with unfamiliar cultures and wildlife. She captures the innate beauty in all forms by photographing her subjects up close, including some surprisingly friendly beasts like elephants, lions and gorillas.
When at home in the mountains, Sugal loves to photograph some tamer wild life - her friends performing their unique forms of art and music and her Golden Retrievers Bodhi and Basin.
